Southgate Independent School District

The Southgate Team is very excited about the 2022-2023 school year! We have a wonderful
group of educators and support staff members who love making great things happen in Our
Southgate. Afterall, our unique school district is very hard to replicate with a P-8 student
population and so many wonderful opportunities. We pride ourselves on getting to know
every child while providing an excellent educational experience for all. Our mission is to serve
our community by fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders and securing an
environment for all Lions to become academically proficient and successful citizens.
We are thrilled to have our students back in the school building! We’re committed to our
vision of promoting Excellence, Character, Growth, and Pride in every student, every day.
We will continue to raise the bar for our students knowing that they can achieve excellence
in all areas. We will also continue to offer a five-star preschool experience for Our Littlest
Lions and their families. We understand that our students deserve the best so we’ll work
hard to ensure that Our Southgate is a place for everyone to take pride in every day.
Building character is also a strong aspect of the educational experi ence in Our Southgate.
Our goal is for all Lions to add value in the others around them. We will continue to teach
our students about being kind and working hard. We want our Lions to grow up in a school
culture where everyone feels valued and loved. The Southgate Team is committed to
building strong character traits in our students so they can add light into the others around
them.
Another key pillar that we pride ourselves on is growth. We love seeing our students grow
in and out of the classroom. The Southgate Team is always up for the challenge of meeting
our students where they are in the learning process. There is no doubt that our Lions
aspire to be the best versions of themselves every day. We encourage our families to get
