Southgate Public School is proud to announce that our Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Deanna Landrum, received the Golden Apple Award at the 2023 Excellence in Education Celebration on Tuesday, April 25. The ceremony honors educators, students and businesses who have modeled excellence in Northern Kentucky schools.
Mrs. Landrum began teaching in Southgate in 2014 as our Middle School Social Studies teacher. In 2021, she became our library media specialist. In the past two school years, she has helped transform our library media center. In 2022, she received a $6,482.62 KySTE Outreach Grant to increase our Lego BricQ and Spike boxes and Sphero Minis collections and provided lessons to other teachers to help broaden our STEM hands on curriculum.
