Southgate Public School is proud to announce that Ms. Rebecca Arnold, also known as "Coach A", has been selected as the October Staff Member of the Month. Coach A is Southgate's PE/PL (Health) Teacher, PBIS Liaison and Assistant Coach for Girls on the Run.
Coach A attended Sue Bennett College, where she played basketball & softball; graduated from Morehead State University in 2000 with Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training; and she graduated from Morehead State University in 2010 with a Master of Art in Teaching in Health & Physical Education K-12.
She previously worked for 15 years at Augusta Independent School District in Bracken County, KY. While working at Augusta Independent, she served as the Health & Physical Education Teacher, Varsity Fastpitch Softball Head Coach, Varsity Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Athletic Director & Family Resource & Youth Service Center Director.
This is Coach A's second year at Southgate and we're so happy she's joined our community!
