Southgate Public School is proud to announce that Mrs. Crystal Ewing, a teacher in the Aunt Kathy's preschool program, has been selected as the April Staff Member of the Month. We asked Mrs. Ewing to share a little about herself:
"I am the preschool teacher for the wrap around care here at Southgate. This is my 2nd year and I absolutely love it. I feel like Southgate has a great preschool program and I am happy to be part of it. I love building relationships with the students and helping them grow.
I have worked with children since high school. I was a preschool teacher as well as worked after school programs for 5 years and after that I was a Director of a Learning Enrichment Center for 8 years. My passion in life is to help children and I’m looking forward to my journey here at Southgate.
I am a mom of 3 children, one who graduated last year here from Southgate, I currently have a 2nd grader here, and have a senior this year that will graduate high school. I was a parent first at Southgate and fell in love with the difference they made for my son when he started here in middle school. This school is special and like a family for the students and staff I am glad to be part of it and honored to have received this award."
